The concept of the “learning business” has been at the heart of our work for more than two decades.
Different from traditional corporate learning and development departments or academic degree programs, learning businesses serve the global market for adult lifelong learning, continuing education, and professional development. They may be either nonprofit or commercial and they include associations and other membership organizations, publishers, academic continuing education divisions, training firms, and solo edupreneurs, among a range of other possibilities.
If you represent this type of business, our aim is to help you maximize the reach, revenue, and impact of your educational offerings. We do this in a variety of ways, including through content, events, and services.
We regularly publish content to support learning business professionals in their day-to-day work. Our Leading Learning site is the home for a weekly podcast, frequent blog posts, a resource library, and an ongoing Webinar series. Our ReviewMyLMS site features a growing collection of end user reviews of learning management systems that are a good fit marketing and selling education. Learning Revolution is a resource site for solo edupreneurs and small businesses seeking to launch and grow an education business, online or off.
Since 2016, we have hosted Learning • Technology • Design™ (LTD). Originally a face-to-face event, we’ve transformed it into an annual virtual conference designed specifically for those who work in the business of lifelong learning, continuing education, and professional development.
Stay tuned—we plan to announce other events in the future.
Through our market assessment services we help learning businesses assess, analyze, and achieve real understanding of their market for education and learning. Our advisory services provide a limited number of clients a way to tap our deep experience and expertise on an ongoing basis to tackle new challenges and opportunities as they arise.
