Leading Learning is a Washington, DC-based series of lunch meetings where association executives and senior staff can explore emerging opportunities in the lifelong learning market and develop strategies for growing their educational programs and market presence.
Below is a description of the previous lunch. The next lunch will take place on September 19 at Clyde’s of Gallery Place. To be notified when registration opens, sign up for the Leading Learning lunch list.
Description from April 25, 2014 Lunch with ASTD
The American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) is the leading voice for the training and development profession. And, of course, they are also a membership association that offers training and education as a major part of their own business. It’s fair to say that they have some pretty valuable experiences and insights to share.
So, join your peers in the DC area at Chef Geoff’s Downtown for good food and engaging discussion with ASTD’s Courtney Kriebs (Director of Education) and Amy Harrison (Manager of Education).
Doors will open at 11:30 and there will be time for networking. At around 12:00, lunch will be served. During lunch, Courtney and Amy will talk about ASTD’s experiences with growing their Webinar and blended learning offerings and launching a range of successful certificate programs. They will also discuss how ASTD is leveraging technology to take its programming into the future.
As always, this is intended to be a high value, but informal event. What you get out of it will be directly proportional to the ideas, questions, and willingness to engage with your peers that you bring to it.
Who Should Attend
Leading Learning is intended for executives and senior staff at trade and professional associations. If you work for an association or non-profit, and are someone who helps to lead the learning initiatives offered by your organization, this event is for you.
Fee and Cancellation Policy
The fee for the event is $45, and this includes a very nice sit-down lunch (Chef Geoff knows how to do it right – so be prepared for a treat!). Our aim with the fee is simply to help cover some of the costs of the event and make it feasible to continue doing them over time.
You may cancel and receive a full refund if you let us know a week in advance of the event date. Alternatively, you can send someone else from your organization in your place.
We are grateful to Digital Ignite for helping to underwrite the costs of this Leading Learning event.
