Identity
Tagoras was founded on the simple principle that one of the best ways to engage your prospects, customers, and members, is by helping them learn.
For some of our clients that means actually selling educational products and services – and we help them do that better – but for a growing number of clients it is just as likely to mean sharing knowledge and expertise in a variety of ways throughout the relationship with each customer. We work with both types of clients to help them use educational content and community to grow their businesses and develop deep, long-term relationships with their members and customers.
A Bit More Background
Tagoras was created by veteran e-learning entrepreneurs Jeff Cobb and Celisa Steele in 2007. Prior to founding Tagoras, Cobb and Steele founded and led Isoph, a provider of learning management technology and online course development to major trade and professional associations. Having built Isoph into a leading brand in the association e-learning market, Cobb and Steele successfully sold the company in 2005.
The mission of Tagoras is to help our clients:
- Dramatically increase revenue from existing educational programs – online or off
- Think innovatively about how educational content can be used to create loyal, engaged customer communities
- Create strategies for blending social media and e-learning with place-based events
- Select appropriate technologies for all of the above
Our background is as entrepreneurs who have helped build multiple successful companies and who have help many clients implement successful online learning and community initiatives. We know e-learning. We know sales and marketing. We know how to build businesses. We combine these capabilities to help our clients succeed.
Client List
The following are clients for which we have had direct personal responsibility during our tenure at Isoph (the e-learning company we founded, grew, and then sold prior to starting Tagoras) and at Tagoras. Work for these clients covers a range of areas, from e-learning business planning, to online course development, to learning management system implementation.
