Identity
We believe that continuous, lifelong learning is more important in the world we now live in than it has ever been before. We provide expert strategy, marketing, and technology guidance to organizations in the business of lifelong learning to help them maximize the reach, revenue, and impact of their offerings.
Our clients include associations and other membership organizations, training and consulting firms, and learning technology providers. We help these clients dramatically grow their continuing education and professional development businesses through focused strategic and business planning, effective marketing, and the best technologies to make it all work.
A Bit More Background
Tagoras was created by veteran educational entrepreneurs Jeff Cobb and Celisa Steele in 2007. Prior to founding Tagoras, Cobb and Steele founded and led Isoph, a provider of learning management technology and online course development to major trade and professional associations. Having built Isoph into a leading brand in the association education market, Cobb and Steele successfully sold the company in 2005.
The mission of Tagoras is to help our clients:
- Deliver more value to members and customer through innovative, strategic use of educational content and community;
- Dramatically increase revenue from existing educational programs – online or off
- Create strategies for blending social media and e-learning with place-based events
- Identify and source the best technologies to help each client achieve all of the above
Our background is as entrepreneurs who have helped build multiple successful companies and who have helped many clients implement successful online learning and community initiatives. We know education. We know technology. We know how to build businesses. We combine these capabilities to help our clients succeed.

Work for these clients covers a range of areas, from e-learning business planning, to online course development, to learning management system implementation.
