During July and August I will be updating the free Tagoras eBook Learning 2.0 for Associations to discuss new technologies and to offer new and different examples of the ways in which associations are using social media (blogs, wikis, social networks, Twitter, etc.) as part of their professional development activities.
To support the revised version of the eBook (which will remain free), I’ve launched a very brief survey to gather more information about how association professional development programs are using social media – not just for e-learning, but in all aspects of the education they deliver.
The survey is very short and should take no more than a few minutes to fill out.
Even if you are not using any social media, it is highly valuable for you to participate – part of the purpose is to get an idea of how many organizations are actually using social media as part of their professional development activities.
**Survey participants will receive a copy of the results.**
To participate, simply follow the link below.

The survey will close at the end of the day on Tuesday, July 21. (Owing to a range of technical difficulties, we’ve extended the survey by a week.)

Your learning 2.0 free ebook is very informative. Is there an updated version to it? I work for Continuing Education Dept of ASCE. I am senior Marketing coordinators for webinars and we offer more than 300 webinars a year. In tough economic times like today, webinars have become our only source of revenue stream. Our LMS needs an overhaul but for now I keep doing things the way I have been doing for last 8yrs.
Charu – Thanks for commenting. A revision to the Learning 2.0 book is in the works, though it will likely be mid-to-late summer before we have it out. (Our target is to get it out prior to the ASAE annual meeting in August.) As we work on it, I will likely be posting on some of the areas where we are seeing evolution or new developments. (Twitter, for example, was just emerging when we wrote the first one, and has since become a very popular tool for association conferences.)
That’s quite a lot of Webinars you do! I’d be interested in talking to you about that as we continue our Webinar research.
